A tourist attraction refers to both constructed and natural attractions existing at a destination which are of interest to tourists. The list of attractions is endless with each region of the world compiling its own unique range attracting tourists from every corner of the globe.
Some tourists may wish to base their entire itinerary around Natural attractions. Some natural attractions may include forests, lakes, and geothermal areas.
While others may show an interest in the constructed attractions such museums, buildings, zoos.
Whatever the interest may be, both constructed and natural attractions are what creates a sense of individuality for each region of the world.
Activities refer to commercial activities at a destination which are of interest to tourists. For example – excursions, ballooning, boat cruise, nature trek, city tour.
Events refer to staged events which occur, sometimes on a regular basis, at a destination which are of interest to tourists. For example – exhibitions, festivals, tradeshows – it could be something like WOW (World of Wearable Arts) in Wellington or Crankworx, the mountain bike festival in Rotorua!
