Did you know?

Action songs are a great way:
- to interact with a smaller or larger group of children
- to give children the opportunity to develop:
- body awareness
- listening skills
- the ability to follow directions
- hand-eye coordination
- social skills
- language skills
- creativity
- gross and fine motor skills
- develop a love for music
- reinforce core educational concepts such as colours, animals, counting, etc.

| ACECQA | Australian Children Education and Care Quality Authority. It works with all governments to provide guidance, resources and services to support the sector to improve outcomes for children. |
| Approved regulated education and care service |
An education and care service for which a service approval exists (National Law). Most long day care, family day care and outside school hours care services are regulated under the NQF. The NQF also applies to preschools (or kindergartens), except in Western Australia and Tasmania. Services that are not covered by the NQF may be regulated under local law. |
| ECEC | Early Childhood Education and Care. It focuses on the holistic development of a child's social, emotional, cognitive and physical needs in order to build a solid and broad foundation for lifelong learning and well‑being. |
| QA | Quality Area. The NQS includes 7 quality areas that are important outcomes for children. |
