Congratulations on choosing a quality course that is highly regarded in the fitness industry.

For anyone wanting to become a personal trainer, there are key considerations to take into account.

Let's start by discussing the different types of Personal Training roles available:

  • Contractor
  • Independent Contractor
  • Employed

Personal Trainer Roles

Note: Small Group Trainers fall into one of the three personal trainer categories as they provide personal training type services in a group format.

The feedback we have received from industry leaders tells us employers are looking for Personal Trainers with:

  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • High levels of drive and self-motivation
  • The ability to control their own finance
  • Excellent knowledge of human body anatomy and systems
  • Excellent knowledge of programming principles
  • Nutritional awareness
  • An energetic and hands-on approach to training

Increasing each year is a focus on feeling healthier and being more active. It’s not simply about gaining muscles or losing weight to look good.

For today’s consumers, it’s all about health and fitness. It’s important to understand that this is not just a fad, but a genuine trend across multiple countries and communities.
