Welcome to Level 4 Certificate in Exercise. My name is Justin. My role here is Sports Tutor at NZIS Sylvia Park Campus. In this module, you'll learn that people's level of enjoyment is individual and varied. Many people seeking a personal trainer would not go to the gym consistently alone, and that's okay. There's a real need for quality personal trainers to make a difference in the lives of clients in commercial gyms and community groups. We need a healthier approach to exercise. Being a successful P.T. is not about bench pressing 100 kilos, but it's about supporting clients to modify their behaviour and achieve long-term health goals. In this module, we'll ask you to reflect on your own story so far. And self-assess your current level of health and fitness as well as key skills for personal training. We'll look at the current state of health and fitness industry, learn the basics of behavioural psychology and communication, and consider how being a commercially successful P.T. is about selling an experience.
